Baal Aadhaar Card - How to Apply & Download Process

Aadhaar Card

In India, the Aadhaar Card plays a crucial role in identity and address verification. To extend this, the government has introduced Aadhaar cards for children under the age of five, called the Baal Aadhaar Card. This card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and is linked to the Aadhaar card of one of the parents.

Unlike the regular Aadhaar card, the Baal Aadhaar Card does not require the child’s biometric data. However, it includes other essential details such as the child’s name, photograph, gender, and date of birth, along with the Aadhaar number of the parent or legal guardian.

Steps for Online Registration of Baal Aadhaar Card

Follow these steps for online registration of the Baal Aadhaar card:

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.

Step 2: Choose your preferred language for the website.

Step 3: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab and then select the ‘Book an Appointment’ option.

Step 4: Choose ‘Book an Appointment at a UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ from the list of cities and click ‘Proceed to Book Appointment’.

Step 5: Enter your mobile number and captcha, then click ‘Get OTP’.

Step 6: Input the OTP received on your mobile.

Step 7: Select your desired appointment date.

Step 8: Attend the Aadhaar centre on your appointment date.

Step 9: The parent linked to the Baal Aadhaar card must provide their biometrics and Aadhaar details.

Step 10: Submit all necessary documents along with the application form.

Once the process is completed, the Baal Aadhaar card will be mailed to the provided address, or you can download it from the UIDAI website.
