Link Aadhaar to Bank Account via Internet Banking

To link your Aadhaar Card with your bank account, you can use internet banking.

Follow these steps to complete the process:

  • Log into your bank's internet banking portal.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Navigate to the "Update Aadhaar with Bank Account (CIF)" option under the "My Account" section.
  • Provide your profile password for Aadhaar registration.
  • A new page will appear where you'll need to enter your Aadhaar number twice.
  • Click "Submit" after entering your Aadhaar details.
  • Upon successful submission, you will get a notification confirming the linkage.

Link Aadhaar to Bank Account through Mobile App

Several banks offer the option to link Aadhaar to a bank account via their mobile apps. Here's how to do it:

  • Download your bank's mobile app from Google Play Store or App Store.
  • Open the app and log in using your credentials (username and password). Complete any security verification if prompted.
  • Select "Requests" or "Services" or a similar section.
  • Look for the "Link Aadhaar" or "Update Aadhaar Number" option.
  • Choose the account you wish to link your Aadhaar to.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number (you may need to re-enter it for confirmation).
  • Agree to any relevant terms and conditions.
  • Click "Update" or "Confirm" to complete the process.

Link Aadhaar with Bank Account via Branch

If you prefer to link your Aadhaar to your bank account offline, visit your branch and follow these steps:

  • Visit your bank branch in person.
  • Bring along your Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar card.
  • Fill out the form for linking Aadhaar to your bank account.
  • Attach a copy of your Aadhaar card to the form.
  • Once the verification process is complete, your bank account will be linked to your Aadhaar.
  • You will receive an SMS confirming the status of the Aadhaar linking on your registered mobile number.

Link Aadhaar Card to Bank Account through ATM

To link your Aadhaar to your bank account using an ATM, follow these steps:

  • Go to your bank's ATM.
  • Insert your debit card and enter the PIN associated with your account.
  • In the "Services" menu, choose "Registrations" and select the "Aadhaar Registration" option.
  • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number (you may need to confirm it by entering it again).

How to Verify the Status of Your Aadhar Bank Link?

You can check if your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar by visiting the UIDAI website, using your mobile, or through the mAadhaar app.

Check Aadhaar and Bank Account Link Status Online

Follow these simple steps to confirm the link status between your Aadhaar and bank account on the UIDAI website:

  • Visit the UIDAI website (https://uidai.gov.in/my-aadhaar/avail-aadhaar-services.html) and click on "Check Aadhaar/Bank Linking Status."
  • You will be redirected to the bank mapper page. Enter your UID/VID and the security code, then click "Send OTP."
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with UIDAI. Enter the OTP and click "Submit."
  • The screen will show the bank account linked to your Aadhaar.
  • If you have multiple accounts with the same bank, visit the bank for further verification of the linked account number.

Verify Aadhaar and Bank Account Link Status via Mobile

You can also check the status using your mobile phone through the USSD code, provided your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar in the UIDAI database.

Follow these steps to check the status:

  • Dial *99*99*1# from your registered mobile number.
  • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
  • Re-enter the Aadhaar number and click "Send."

The status of your linked bank account will be displayed. If no result is shown, your account may not be linked to your Aadhaar.

Check Aadhaar Banking Link Status via mAadhaar

You can also check your Aadhaar and bank account link status using the mAadhaar app by following these steps:

  • Open the mAadhaar app.
  • Select 'Aadhaar-Bank Acc Link Status' from the 'My Aadhaar' section.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and security captcha, then click 'Request OTP.'
  • Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click 'Verify' to check the link status.
